Here is Bella decorating the bag to use to wrap Brooklyn's birthday cup - an Ariel sippy cup as Bella calls it! I know it isn't much - but it was still a gift from Bella and she picked it out! She also signed Brooklyn's card that we put in the bag!

Our Trip to the Zoo

We had a great time at the zoo celebrating Brooklyn's 2nd birthday! Thank you to everyone who met us there to celebrate - we had Deisha and Glen; Angie, DJ, and Zach; Michael, Allison, Whitney and Dalton; Nana and Pop; Mimi; and of course, Bella, Brooklyn and their parents (aka Brannon and I)! We hope everyone had as much fun as we did!

What is it about the clothes basket?

Again, I must ask what is the fascination of kids and the clothes basket! I had the clothes basket on the couch (it's permanent resting place, or so it seems - although it only had socks in it this time) and Brooklyn climbed right in and starting randomly dispersing the socks!

The Party - Post #2!!!

Instead of a cake, I made little "smash" cakes and cupcakes and arranged them in a "1" shape on the table.


A few pictures of her "smash" cake - which she totally did NOT smash! We really thought she'd dig right in given how she eats food! She ate some of the icing but that's about it!

The party was great and the weather was beautiful! Brooklyn got so many nice gifts from everyone and we appreciate everyone coming to the party to help celebrate Brooklyn's 1st birthday and for all the presents!!

Nana and Pop came over Saturday morning to set up the tent for the party. They also brought Brooklyn's gift - a Trampoline House, AKA Jumpy Thing! These are the pictures of the resurrection, the inaugural jump of the Jumpy Thing and the demise of the Jumpy Thing (just for the day - we didn't want to leave it up because of stray dogs getting it at night and puncturing it)!

I'm not sure who was having more fun - Bella or Mi-Mi and Nana?!?!?!?
