Pay It Forward!

__
--
I'm participating in a Pay It Forward Swap, and I need three people to sign up to play. I'm hoping to encourage my creativity! To each of these three participants, I will send out a handmade gift within the next 12 months. In turn each of these people agrees to 'Pay It Forward' and send out a handmade something to three other people....and so on....and so on. There is a lengthy sending window in that you will have 1 year to send something to your three sendees. So I'm hoping to be able to find 3 people who would like to receive something from me.
--
Any takers??

If you are interested, leave a comment on this post with a way that I can contact you to get your email address and mailing address.I'm so looking forward to making something just for you:).......so come on and play....please!

Missed us?

--
So I know at least one of my blogging buddies has missed my posting over the last 10 days - thanks Laura!!!
--
I've actually been meaning to post but just haven't gotten around to it. We seem to be staying quite busy! It seems I'm feeding Brady alot - he is definitely a good nurser! Plus there have been a couple of days where I've actually gone into the office and Nana has stayed with Brady.
--
Today was the girls' last day at "school" - starting Monday, Nana will be at our house with them while we are at work! I start back to work full-time at the office on Monday. I've been keeping up with all my work at home during the past 7 weeks - but Monday is back to the real world! I think the girls are excited to be getting to stay home with Nana and I am glad for them to not be in daycare anymore. The daycare they were attending was good and the girls enjoyed it but as soon as we told them they'd be staying home with Nana - that's all they've talked about!
--
I apologize for the blogging absence - but I cannot guarantee that it will get any better with my returning to work!

THANK YOU CARDS

--
Do you write thank you cards for gifts you or your children or your spouse receive? I am a firm believer in thank-yous. Sometimes I might forget (and if I've forgotten you at some point - I'm really sorry) - I try really hard to write thank-you's for EVERYTHING!!! My girls even "write" thank you cards and Bella will even say when she gets something "I need write a thank you"! So I'm glad they are learning this very important lesson!
--
I was thinking the other day of what kind of thank you cards we would use for Christmas this year! Then I go to Hannah's blog - Sherbet Blossom - and she has this great freebie! It is a template with thank you post cards on them that you can download and print!! Perfect - we'll certainly be using these!
--
Thanks, Hannah!

NaBloPoMo

I bet you're wondering what the heck is with this title!!! November is National Blog Posting Month. A lot of bloggers out there are setting the goal of posting every day for the month of November and I thought I give it a shot! Not sure if I'll be able to keep up - what with two little ones, full time job, baby due in 5 weeks...but we shall see!
--
I am member number 9879! That's a lot of people setting out to blog every day this month! Like I said - I'm not sure I will be able to keep up - but I will be trying. And don't get upset if the posts get somewhat boring!

I've Been Tagged

--
My blogging friend, Kristen, tagged me to define my life in six words (like a week or so ago - but I'm just now getting around to it). Here goes...
--
1. Fun
2. Busy
3. Fulfilling
4. Challenging (at times)
5. Important
6. Blessed!!
--
Now I'm supposed to tag five more people...(the rules are to describe your life in 6 words and tag 5 more people, leaving them a comment on their blogs so they'll know they've been tagged).

1. Christina
2. Angie
3. Allison
4. Liesa
5. LeAnne

Kennedy - today is the day...

--
I posted about Kennedy on Monday. Well - today is her surgery. She was taken back for her surgery about two hours ago now. Please keep Kennedy, her family (can you imagine having to sit in a waiting room for 8-9 hours while your child is in surgery to have their spine fused? - I cannot), and the medical team performing her sugery in your thoughts and prayers.

Kennedy has already been through so many surgeries - not to mention she has had Leukemia and beat the Leukemia in her short 4 years!!!! We're thinking and praying that all goes well for Kennedy!!!

Kennedy....

Kennedy and her family are blogging friends that I have "met" through blogging! Kennedy is a 4-year old little girl who is having yet another surgery tomorrow -I think this makes 16 or 18 (I'm not sure about the number - it is somewhere on Rene's blog). You can read all about Kennedy at her blog (I linked to just the posts about Kennedy)...
--
As taken from Renee's blog (hope you don't mind Renee), 'Kennedy is having her spine fusion surgery. They anticipate the surgery to be 8-9 hours. This will be her longest surgery yet. After surgery Kennedy will have her halo on and go to ICU for 24-48 hours. Then she will go to a regular hospital room for about a week. Then we will be released, but we have to stick around Philadelphia so they can watch her and do her first post-op CT scans.'
--
Please keep Kennedy and her family in your thoughts and prayers tomorrow!

Worth reading...

An Amazing Story. Tricia is a young wife and mother who has Cystic Fibrosis. I happened upon the blog of her husband, Nate. The blog journals Tricia's pregnancy with Gwyneth, who was born prematurely in January and Tricia's wait for a new set of lungs! Well, Tricia got her new lungs on none other than her husband's 27th birthday! Their story is amazing! If you have time pop over and take a look. Nate is taking a bit of a break from the blog - but someone else is doing their best to update!

With a heavy heart...

After much contemplation, I have decided to shut down our blog. I find myself spending too much time posting to the blog and way too much time reading other's blogs. This unfortunately will be my last post. I will continue to read other's blogs - I will just have to limit the time I spend doing so. Before I go I wanted to leave you with one of my favorite pictures. Click Here for the picture.

Thank you to everyone who has visited and commented on my blog - I have had a blast doing it!

Chelsea and the March Madness Mascara Challenge

I posted last week about Chelsea and her mom's March Madness Mascara Challenge! Her goal was to sell 100 mascaras during the month of March to enable her husband, aka Chelsea's daddy, to take off from work without worrying about losing the day's pay!! Well, she met her goal and is currently at 102 for the month!!!!!! In addition, Chelsea's mom is currently under the weather and her daddy was able to take a second day off without the added worry to be with Chelsea while her mom gets some much needed rest!
--
If you need mascara and are interested, please visit Chelsea's website and order some - it's for a GREAT cause and I know they are so appreciative. Chelsea is just the cutest littlest girl!!!!
