Trick or Treat

--
Brannon had to work tonight but he did leave his office early to be home when the girls and I got home so he could help me get them in their costumes and he could see them before he had to leave for the night! We got them dressed, attempted some pictures (previously posted) and the girls and I went to see Grannie for a few minutes before heading out to the streets for some trick or treating. They were both very excited to get candy - wanting to eat each piece as we walked to each house! Since it was just the girls and I - I didn't get many pictures, but here are a few that I got!
--
I think Bella was telling Brooklyn that she had to say "Trick or Treat" in order to get the candy - as you can see Brooklyn was listening to her big sister...
--
I don't know why it is so blurry - but it was such a cute picture. They would walk up to the doors -but they wouldn't knock. Instead Bella would scream "trick or treat"...she said it loud enough that most people didn't need her to knock!
--
They seemed to have a good time! We were gone for close to an hour and a half - but that included a stop off at Nana and Paw-Paw's too....we walked though (unlike so many that drive their cars from house to house)...

Double, Double Toil and Trouble

--
Bella decided a couple of weeks ago that she wanted to dress up like a "mean witch" for Halloween. So we set out and found the perfect little witch's costume! We had planned on Brooklyn being a princess, so we just got her some tights and a new tiara to go with the costume Bella wore last year. They put on their costumes one Sunday and as soon as Brooklyn got the princess one on - she proceeded to try and take it off saying "i don't like it, i mean witch"! So...we set out again and were able to find another "mean witch" costume. Hence why they are dressed as the exact same thing - it was their choice, not mommy's! Without further adieu - here are our two little witches (they didn't want to be cooperative for a picture - so this is what we got)!

Happy Halloween

Halloween
--
by Mary Jane Carr
--
Witches flying past on broomsticks,

Black cats leaping here and there,

White-robed spooks on every corner,

Mournful moaning in the air,

Goblins peering out of windows,

Spirit-things that rap and run-

But don't be scared-it's just October,

Having one last hour of fun!

Fall Festival - Ring Around the Rosies

--
We were just standing around after getting a bite to eat at the Festival and Bella and McKayla started playing Ring Around the Rosies. Brooklyn was in Pop's arms until she spotted them playing and singing - and then she joined in!

Fall Festival - At the Festival

Here are some pictures of the girls playing the games at the Festival! Bella was all about playing everything - Brooklyn was a bit more hesitant, but you'll notice she did play!!

Fall Festival - Leaving the House

--
Last night was the local elementary school's annual Fall Festival! The girls have been looking forward to the "party" all week! Here are they in their outfits picked out specifically for this occassion! These were taken as we were leaving for the festival - it is a small enough town that we are just able to walk from our house!

As a side note - their little faces are red because: Bella has been fighting allergies and has been rubbing her nose/lip and face constantly and Brooklyn, well click here for the story on her face.

Halloween in Huxford

We went out Trick-or-Treating a little early last night, probably around 6 pm...We didn't want to be out too long after dark with the girls, plus we wanted to hand out candy at our house. Bella had been talking about going out all day. She kept saying "trick treat night". She really has no fear whatsoever - she wasn't the least bit hesistant to walk up to people's doors or anything (not sure if this is good or bad - maybe a little of both)! She got loads of candy that she will never be able to eat it all! And so many people would just hold out their bowl and let her take all she wanted! We had to put a stop to that! We were out for almost an hour and a half and she walked the whole time we were out and insisted that she carry her bag herself (we did unload some candy every now and then so it didn't too heavy)! It was a good time and Daddy even got home early enough to go with us! It was a good time to see everyone in the community that Brannon grew up around, etc. Here are some pictures from our First Trick-or-Treating adventure (we didn't take Bella last year because she was so young and didn't know what was going on anyway)!

Such a serious little princess (I can't believe how well she wore the tiara - she never even tried to take it off)!
Our little cheerleader! And just because she wasn't happy in the previous post does not mean she is an Auburn fan!!!! Brooklyn also walked quite a bit - although she was carried alot as well and of course she only wanted Momma, so my arms were sure tired!
Walking with Daddy!
Trick or Treat!
I thought this was a sweet picture - Daddy and his little princess!

There was a guy that hooked up his trailer to his truck and was driving trick-or-treaters around to the houses! He had a big "blow-up" pumpkin tied to the top of his truck cab - it was quite cute. There were lights and music!

Paxton, Brooklyn and Bella!

Brooklyn and her Quarterback, aka, her cousin, Paxton! Roll Tide!

The Loot! What are we going to do with all that candy?
