Poarch Band of Creek Indian's Thanksgiving Pow-Wow

The Poard Band of Creek Indians have their Annual Thanksgiving Pow-Wow. We went out on Friday morning. However, we didn't realize how cold it actually was, so we didn't stay for long. It was so windy, which is what made it feel so cold! We just walked around the tents/exhibitors and then headed out!.JPG)

We went to Paul and Carol's (Roger's aka Pop's sister and her husband's house) for Thanksgiving supper! Brooklyn of course ate like a champ (especially since Carol had mashed potatoes). Bella ate a roll with butter, but that was about it. Paul and Carol have 4 grandkids, ranging in age from 4 weeks to 3 years, so there were lots of little ones for the girls to play with! .JPG)

Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving to all our family and friends! We certainly have a lot to be thankful for - two beautiful little girls, each other, a place to call home, great family and great friends!

Twas the Night of Thanksgiving
'Twas the night of Thanksgiving
but I just couldn't sleep
I tried counting backwards,
I tried counting sheep.
The leftovers beckoned-
The dark meat and white
but I fought the temptation
With all of my might.
Tossing and turning
with anticipation
the thought of a snack
became infatuation.
So, I raced to the kitchen
flung open the door
and gazed at the fridge,
full of goodies galore.
I gobbled up turkey
and buttered potatoes,
pickles and carrots,
beans and tomatoes.
I felt myself swelling
So plump and so round
"til all of a sudden
I rose off the ground.
I crashed through the ceiling,
floating into the sky
With a mouthful of pudding
and a handful of pie.
But, I managed to yell
As I soured past the trees...
happy eating to all-
pass the cranberries, please.
May your stuffing be tasty,
May your turkey be plump.
May your potatoes 'n gravy
have nary a lump.
May your yams be delicious
May your pies take the prize,
May your Thanksgiving dinner
Stay off of you thighs.

Happy Thanksgiving
HAPPY THANKSGIVING 2006!!
We tried to get a "family photo" on Thanksgiving evening, but someone - not to mention any names, BELLA - wasn't interested in sitting with her family! So we got a nice shot of Brannon, Brooklyn and I and then one of Bella on her own!
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! And Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays - whichever you prefer!
