Picking Tomatoes

Bella is becoming quite the little tomato picker this season! You just have to point out the ones you want her to pick and she gets right in there and picks them herself! If you don't tell her which ones to pick, she will just start grabbing at any tomato! Here are a few shots of her picking some tomatoes from a few nights ago.

Playing together

Just a cute picture of Bella and Brooklyn playing in their princess tent! At one point, Bella was dragging Brooklyn in the tent to play with her! It was sweet that Bella wanted her in their with her, but Brooklyn wasn't so sure about the means of getting there!

It's Potty Time

I'm not sure if I am "allowed" to post these pictures or not, but here we go!

We are starting the potty training in our house with a child who could care less if she has a wet or dirty diaper! This should be fun! As you can see, she has her own potty, a potty time book (one that even makes the sound of a toilet flushing)! She insists that she has to be completely in the buff in order to sit on the potty - hey, whatever works! We don't force her to sit on or go potty - we just ask and if she says yes, we go and if she says no, we let it go! Wish us luck!

Babies for Sale

HaHa! Just kidding - no one is for sale! Bella loves to empty the laundry basket for me and climb in. So when she did it today, I put Brooklyn in there with her...It made me think of people who would put puppies in a basket to sell them...

Happy 4th of July!

We hope everyone had a Happy and safe July 4th! Thank you to all those serving in (or having served) all branches of the armed services for everything they have done and continue to do to protect our freedom and thank you to their families for the sacrifices they make every day while their loved ones are away. Special thoughts go out to all those who have lost loved ones while protecting our freedom. Thank you....

We took Bella and Brooklyn to watch the fireworks at the Poarch Creek Indian Reservation and it was a good show! Bella really enjoyed the fireworks, as did Brooklyn. Neither were frightened by them at all. Bella just kept saying "fire, fire" - she wouldn't say "fireworks", but that is what she meant!

More of Brooklyn's Mobility Efforts

Brooklyn has the ability to crawl - we've seen her do it! However, she doesn't do it consistently - she does get from point A to point B with absolutely no problems - I just wouldn't necessarily classify the movement as crawling. She will crawl with one knee and then push herself with her other foot planted firmly on the ground.

She really enjoys being able to sit up and can do so very well! I think her ability to sit up distracted her from crawling a bit because she just enjoys sitting up so much! But like I said - she is crawling, especially when the motivation is good enough - i.e. she really wants a toy across the room!

She likes to get up on her feet and hands like this - it is pretty funny to watch! Usually she will have both feet flat on the ground, whereas in this pictures she only has one on the ground!

Bella riding on Mommy's Shoulders

Just a cute picture of Bella on my shoulders!
