Last Week's Storytime

This past week's Storytime was quite exciting! As we do every week, we looked for a few books and checked out two books about Biscuit as Bella loves puppy dogs! Ms. Dorothy asked us the previous week to bring a "friend" to Storytime to read to. So Bella picked out one of her puppy dogs (not THE puppy dog from when she was younger) and we took along a puppy dog for Brooklyn as well. When it was time for Ms. Dorothy to read the stories, she unveiled a campfire for us to sit around while we read!! The kids loved it! She read "Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See?" and "Biscuit is Thankful".

After Ms. Dorothy had finished reading the two books, the other lady who helps with Storytime (and I'm so sorry I don't know her name, I will have to be sure to ask her next week) came into the room (we had Storytime in the room with the "stage") with Marshmellows for roasting! It was too cute - they were on sticks, aka candy canes! The kids had a blast "roasting" their marshmellows over the campfire! One little girl said that hers wouldn't roast! She's obviously roasted marshmellows before.

Brooklyn inquiring as to what is going on around that fire!

After roasting marshmellows for a bit, everyone sang a few songs and danced around before it was time to "line up" and get the day's coloring sheet and lollipop (even though they'd just had candy canes)!!
